Jongsu Lee is currently an assistant professor of Technology Management, Economics, and Policy Program and department of industrial engineering at Seoul National University (SNU). His main research interest is oriented on demand forecasting for new products which includes discrete choice analysis, diffusion of innovation theory, high-technology marketing.

Jongsu Lee achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in 1996, Master’s Degree in Engineering (energy economics) in 1998, and Ph.D. in Engineering (technology economics) from SNU. He has been an assistant professor at SNU since 2005 and dedicated himself to education and research. He showed outstanding research achievements in demand forecasting. The passion in his research can be observed via the various publications such as demand forecasting for new products, analysis on consumers’ preference, policy analysis of ICT and energy industry. Some of the representative journal can be listed as Energy Policy, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Applied Economics, Energy Economics and among others. He is also interested in consulting and education for private companies. He has organized and participated education program for companies such as Samsung Card, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, SK Telecom, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motor. As an enthusiastic researcher, Jongsu Lee is serving as a reviewer for a number of journals. He also belongs to several academic societies such as the International Telecommunications Society, Econometric Society, Korea Economic Association, Korea Innovation Society and so on as a member.
